Terms of service

Overview

BORDER-GARA is a personal shopping service for physical luxury goods and fashion items. By placing an order, you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Shipping Policy, Return & Refund Policy, Cancellation Policy, Customs / Import Duties Policy, and Chargeback / Payment Dispute Policy.

Personal shopping service model

BORDER-GARA is not a normal stock-holding retailer. Some items may be sourced from partner shops after you place an order and any required confirmations are completed. This means that some items may not be physically held in BORDER-GARA's own warehouse at the time of order.

Partner shop inventory can change before procurement is completed. If procurement becomes impossible, unavailable, or commercially unreasonable, BORDER-GARA may cancel the order and refund the amount paid according to the applicable refund process.

Order confirmation and procurement

For high-value, first-time, limited-stock, international, or risk-flagged orders, BORDER-GARA may request email confirmation before procurement or shipment. Procurement may start after payment capture and/or customer confirmation.

Procurement time, handling time, and shipping estimates are estimates only and are not guaranteed shipping or delivery dates.

Customer information and delivery responsibility

You are responsible for providing accurate billing, shipping, contact, email, and telephone information. You are also responsible for monitoring carrier and customs communications after shipment.

If you use a business address, hotel, mailroom, forwarding service, workplace, or third-party receiving address, you are responsible for ensuring that the location can receive personal international parcels and customs-related notices.

Customs, duties, and import charges

Customs duties, import taxes, carrier handling fees, brokerage fees, storage fees, and other import-related charges are the customer's responsibility. BORDER-GARA cannot estimate, guarantee, or control the final customs/import amount. Refusing delivery because of customs or import charges does not make the order eligible for a refund.

Cancellations, returns, and refunds

Cancellations after payment capture or procurement start are not guaranteed. If a cancellation is accepted, actual non-refundable costs may be deducted from the refund amount to the extent permitted by applicable law. These costs may include payment processing fees, currency conversion fees, procurement-related costs, partner shop cancellation costs, administrative costs, and other actual costs already incurred.

After shipment, returns, refunds, or cancellations for customer convenience are not accepted unless required by applicable law. This includes delivery refusal, customs charge refusal, missed delivery, redelivery issues, business address or mailroom issues, forwarding service issues, and failure to receive carrier or customs notices.

Payment disputes

If you open a chargeback, bank dispute, or payment dispute while a refund is pending, or before contacting BORDER-GARA, the normal refund process may be delayed, suspended, or blocked by the payment provider or card issuer. If such dispute causes actual non-refundable costs, BORDER-GARA may deduct those actual costs from any refund or settlement amount to the extent permitted by applicable law.
